EY announced today that Brian Mariotti, Funko CEO, received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the Consumer Goods and Services category in the Pacific Northwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mariotti was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at the Sheraton Seattle on June 17, 2016.
“This isn’t about me”, said Mariotti in his acceptance speech. “This is about the talented team we have at Funko, and the tremendous work we’re all doing together.” Mariotti added later, “I know we’ve created something special at Funko. This award recognizes not just what we’ve done, but what we’re going to do in the future as well.”
