What Funko lines do you collect? How many pieces are in your collection?

I started with Pop!s back in 2015. The Walking Dead line really got me into them. More recently I've switched to mostly collecting Mystery Minis and all things Rick and Morty. I have about 100 Pop!s and over 500 Mystery Minis.

How long have you been a collector?

Since January 2015.

What are your favorite fandoms?

Rick and Morty, The Flash, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Harry Potter.

What was your first Funko item?

My boyfriend and I were really into playing Borderlands and one day he just walked in with a Claptrap Pop! That was my first one- still sitting out of the box by my PlayStation.

What is your favorite Funko piece in your collection?

My favorite piece in my collection is my Rick and Morty Mystery Mini set. I love the details on Mystery Minis sculpts.

Tell us your favorite Funko story!

This is super sappy... I'm a music teacher and my classroom is super hero themed. So of course I have Iron Man, 10” Gladiator Hulk, Thor, Captain America, etc. Pop!s in my classroom. I teach at a Title 1 school so a majority of the students don't have much. But one sweet 4th grader put a gift bag together for me for my birthday. In it she included a card she went around and got my colleagues to sign (it was a repurposed Christmas card) and the other item in the bag was a David Levinson Pop! from Independence Day. She noticed how much I like Pop!s that she went out goodness knows where and found me a Pop! for my birthday. *TEARS. Even though it's nothing I collect the thought and effort behind that gesture is something I'll never forget.
