When did you first learn about Funko?
I was introduced to Funko in 2014 when I attended my first Comic Con. Every single booth I walked by was selling these figures with huge heads and beady eyes (Pops!). I can honestly say I had no interest in collecting them up until I saw the Dancing Groot my wife, Loren, purchased for me. After that, I was all in!

Do you remember what your first Funko piece was?
The very first Funko piece in my collection was the Superman Wackly Wobbler that a friend gave me for my birthday. I realized this was a Funko product after I had been collecting Pops! for a few months. My very first "know" Funko piece was the aforementioned Dancing Groot.

Why are you a Funatic?
It's easy to be a collector of Funko, but, to become a Funatic is something else entirely. Funatic's love their collections but they also love being around and hanging out with other Funatics. Like many, I was disappointed with the recently postponed ECCC. However, a group of my friends (Funatics) that I have met over the years still went to Everett and had a blast just hanging out in our Hotel lobby, visiting HQ, and catching up on each other's lives outside of Funko.

What are your favorite fandom(s) and why?
My personal favorite is DC, specifically Superman. I really fell in love with Superman upon watching Smallville in high school. Yeah, the early years of the show were rough, but showing how he learned to deal with his powers and what he eventually came to stand for as Superman was something I really enjoyed watching. I like to think that I carry some of his beliefs in the things I do every day.

Is there anyone you share your fandom with?
I share my Fandom with my entire family, we collect together. My kids take after me and prefer DC. My son, Rev, loves The Flash and my daughter, Lily, loves Wonder Woman. We will forgive my wife for going the Marvel route but she loves Captain Marvel.

Why do you love pop culture?
Pop culture keeps the world moving and is always changing. We currently live in an unprecedented, and difficult, time. Pop culture is what is there to keep us sane. There is something for everybody to turn to and for that I am thankful.

How do you display your collection?
I am an in box, in protector, type of collector. I find the box to be a part of the final product and it's art in its own way. With that being said I am not afraid to take them out of their box to admire the beauty that the artist has taken in their creation. I thoroughly enjoy taking pictures of them and always thinking of the next awesome picture I am going to take.

What movie/show/podcast/videogame/album are you currently watching/listening to/playing?
With my recent amount of free time I have slowly been watching the Game of Thrones series. I just finished up season four and will say Tyrion is easily the best part of the show.

What's your favorite Funko memory?
My favorite Funko memory was the Funko HQ grand opening. The event itself was so much fun and being one of the first to shop at the store will be something I will always remember. Being surrounded by all of the Funatics was the cherry on top of it all! I had an early morning ticket for the store but that didn't stop me from walking the line that was forming the night before to converse with people I had met previously as well as meeting new people. For how painful it may be to wait in a line, I will wait in any line that saw me surrounded by my fellow Funatics.

What motivated you to start photographing your collection and sharing the photos?
As I mentioned before, Funko is my stress relief. I love coming home from work and perusing through my collection for the lucky pop that gets to have their picture taken. Sometimes I have the perfect shot in mind while other times it's simply a chance for me to play with my toys and show it to others who are interested in seeing it.

What advice do you have for other Funatics taking photos of their collection?
Don't overthink it and have fun with it. The more pictures you take the easier it becomes at getting the effect you are looking for. Additionally, I always have a Funko figure with me. You never know when you are going to come across that perfect backdrop!

What Funko lines and fandoms do you collect?
I collect all things Superman and Iron Man. I have everything made by Funko of these two characters with the exception of the Superman chase bobblehead. The DC line is my pride and joy but I also love me some Marvel, especially the Venomized line. Outside of comics, I collect the Fantastik Plastik and Myths lines. Last, but definitely not least, I collect Freddy Funko himself! I collect the items above in a variety of Funko formats, Pop!, Dorbz, Mystery Mini, and of course Funko's newest line... Soda!

"Just wanted to give a shoutout to Funko themselves. The efforts you have been putting into help your fans cope during this difficult time should be commended. You're doing a lot of stuff you don't have to do and it is noticed by a lot of us. Thank you for bringing out the Fun on a daily basis!" - Robby N.
