What do you love about Funko? Do you have a favorite Funko memory?

"What I love most about Funko is the #FunkoFamily. This group has introduced me to so many wonderful people who share the same passion as I do.

My favorite memories I have with Funko are twofold…

First are all of the FUN memories of Funko hunting as a family before my son went off to college. And secondly the joy I was able to share with all of my customers in my Funko decorated restaurant. How fun it was to introduce so many people of all ages to the world of Funko."

Anything additional you'd like to share?

"I'm a chef and restaurateur, married to a passionate music teacher. I owned and operated a Funko decorated restaurant Chef Jon's Table in NW Colorado from 2021-2022. I've collected for 6 years or so and currently have a collection of almost 1,200 pieces."

It's my first Freddy Funko in my collection which I'll cherish forever. Thank you so much for selecting me as one of the Funatics of the Week!!! It's such an honor!!!"

When and how did you first learn about Funko?

"I was introduced to Funko by my older sister. When her husband turned 40, she arranged for family and friends to give him 40 Funko Pops!. I chipped in and bought a few, and had fun searching online for Pops! from my favorite movies and TV shows. It was even more fun discovering that many, even obscure ones, had already received the Funko treatment. The same sister gave me my first Funko Pops! for my birthday later that year—nearly the entire line from the movie Labyrinth (one of our favorite movies growing up). The first Funko Pop! I purchased for myself was the silver Freddy Funko robot (HQ exclusive) bought at HQ. After visiting HQ, I was all in on Funko and especially Freddy Funko!"

What Funko lines and fandom(s) do you collect?

"I collect anything and everything Freddy Funko (Pops!, pins, SODA figures, stickers, posters, tees, plushies, Dorbz, Hikari, retro, Pez, etc.). I am also a big fan of Fantastik Plastik, NCAA and NBA Mascot, Monster Cereal, Hostess, McDonalds, Slurpees, Paka Paka (especially the dragons), Bigfoot, my favorite movies and TV shows, etc. However, I more and more find myself buying items from lines I don't collect because they would be *perfect* for a photo a day challenge theme! Can anyone else relate? My Instagram handle is @marco_nelly12."

What do you love about Funko? Do you have a favorite Funko memory?

"There are other toy companies and artists that make cool and enjoyable products, but no-one else has anything close to the same fan engagement as Funko. From Hollywood, HQ, AquaSox games, conventions, Fundays, other parties and festivals, IG and Twitter challenges, Funmaker Mike, and the incredible social media team, there is always something fun going on in the community or something to look forward to for me, my family, and my friends. Also, without exception, Funko employees at HQ, Hollywood, and other events have always treated my kids, nieces, and nephews with kindness. I appreciate the family friendly environment that Funko provides.

A favorite Funko memory was in July 2022 I attended my first Fundays with a friend. We had made a pact that if either of us scored tickets, we would take each other. My friend (the keyboard wizard) got tickets in the general sale and luckily honored our agreement. The size and scale of the party was unlike any other party I had ever attended, and nothing was sweeter than yelling “PRIZE PATROL” at the top of my lungs with all 2,000 attendees each time another goodie was being handed out, filling our table with wonderful things!"

When and how did you first learn about Funko?

"I knew of Funko as far back as 2011 but it wasn't until 2018 that I bought a Mr. Meeseeks Pop! as a gift for a friend. I thought the Pop! was so neat that I ordered a second one for myself. The one I got for myself turned out to be a chase! It was then that I was hooked and fell down the rabbit hole.

The original Mr. Meeseeks I purchased for my friend took a special place in my collection after he passed away suddenly in 2021. It is the most cherished item in my collection."

What Funko lines and fandom(s) do you collect?

"The main fandoms I collect are Rick and Morty, Deadpool, Venom, Star Wars, and The Office. Of course, I love anything Freddy Funko too. In general I don't restrict myself to a specific fandom. I collect what sparks joy, regardless of what the monetary value may be.

My absolute favorite line to collect is SODA. The figure design, the cans, and the nostalgic pog make SODA a blast to collect."

What do you love about Funko? Do you have a favorite Funko memory?

"I love the diversity of the Funatic community. Funko really has something for everyone. I have met so many wonderful people while hunting for Pops! and SODAs.

My favorite Funko memory happened recently at FunKon II, my first Funko hosted event. On a whim, I decided to attend on my way home from a business trip and didn't really know what to expect. The atmosphere was electric with so many Funatics flocking to Funko HQ. The best part of the day the original Deadpool sketch that John Skewes drew for me at the artist's station. It was was while waiting in line for the sketch that I made awesome new Funatic friends (shout out to my line buddies Michael, Shannon, and Kim).

Anything you'd like to add?

"I have had a blast putting together a Stormtrooper SODA army. The army will continue to make appearances on my IG @wookieepool as it grows."
