We’ve left the light on at the mansion, so there’s no need to shiver with antici…pation. We’re ready with a brand-new My First Funko post, highlighting a favorite collectible from a senior graphic designer. Let’s get started—it’s just a jump to the left!

Name/Job Title at Funko:

Jamie Pearson, Sr. Graphic Designer

What is your first Funko Pop! or collectible that you bought, and where do you keep it?

My first Pop! was Dr. Frank-N-Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and he’s one of my favorites to this day. I have a collection of “at home” and “at work” Pops!, and he lives on the special shelf with my other favorites at home. Do I regret taking him out of his box? A little bit, but I bought him forever ago and didn’t know that they’re more valuable if you keep them in the box.

Is there a special story or memory behind your first Funko collectible?

I got him back when he first came out in 2015, back before Funko had totally exploded into the pop-culture phenomenon it is now. I just remember seeing this cute little guy from one of my favorite movies and thinking what an awesome collectible it was. I picked up Lily Munster right around the same time, and (my first) Elvira a little bit later.

What does this Pop! mean to you?

I just love that at Funko we embrace all different kinds of fandoms and their fans. Frank-N-Furter has always been a beloved symbol of “the weirdos,” and I love that we really do have something for everyone. I love celebrating all things weird/wacky/nerdy and being part of a company that does the same.
