What is your first Funko collectible, and where do you display it?
Sam Porter Bridges from the video game Death Stranding. He sits front and center on my desk at the Funko office!
Is there a special story or memory behind your first Funko collectible?
I came across Death Stranding at the beginning of the pandemic, and it has such interesting parallels to real life. It is a beautiful game with fascinating stories, and surprisingly, I found it a very peaceful and fulfilling game to play through. Also, when Sam trips and drops his stack of packages, he looks very clumsy, which I completely identify with.
How does this collectible inspire your work?
His character navigates a confusing modern world while doing his best to help people—all while having a baby strapped to his chest! Sam Porter Bridges is a post-apocalyptic working parent we can all appreciate.
