What is your name/job title at Funko?

Chantz Glover, Loyalty Program Coordinator (DTC)

What is your first Funko collectible, and where do you display it?

My first Funko collectible was POP! Kakashi (Lightning Blade) from the Naruto: Shippuden anime series! He lives on my bookshelf and is the only POP! that I keep displayed at home, rather than on my desk at the Funko offices—he’s too cool to not deserve his own display.

Is there a story or memory behind your first Funko collectible?

I started watching Naruto when I was only four years old, so the series has always had a special place in my heart. I (somewhat accidentally) received it as a gift from my best friend when I graduated university. He picked up a “Ramen Bowl” mystery box as a gift, not even realizing it was a Funko mystery box, and lo and behold—it had a POP! of my favorite anime character (with a sick pose, might I add). I started working at Funko a month later, so I like to think it was a sign from the universe of what was to come.

How does this collectible inspire your work?

What I’ve always liked about Kakashi as a character is his ability to overcome the toughest of situations and to continue growing as a person/mentor. I think that devotion to constant growth reminds me to push myself to continue creating a positive community in my work. I love seeing the excitement that the loyalty program brings to fans, and I want to continue making it fun and see the program evolve to bring the best to them!
