That piercing, yodel-like sound? We hear it, too. Raise your sword and send a chakram ricocheting through the trees. It’s time for another My First Funko post. What is your name/job title at Funko?

Katie Wilson - Influencer Marketing Manager

What is your first Funko collectible, and where do you display it?

I've been an avid Funko collector for over 10 years now, and I wish I could remember which POP! started it all, but I would love to share my favorite and most meaningful POP! That would be my Xena: Warrior Princess Funko POP! She, in all her glory, is displayed unopened and tucked safely away behind glass on my display shelf.

Is there a story or memory behind your first Funko collectible?

Xena Warrior Princess was, and still is, my favorite TV show growing up and has taught me the importance of courage, friendship, and fighting for the greater good. I had waited years for Xena to be immortalized into a Funko POP! collectible, and finally, in 2019, it happened, and I'm pretty sure you could hear my "squeeing" from across the country. However, I am still waiting for a Gabrielle POP!...Funko?

How does this collectible inspire your work?

Working with influencers is an absolute blast for me because I not only have a strong passion for finding and collaborating with influencers for campaigns and projects, but I can also relate to their enthusiasm as a fan. Funko truly is a company that celebrates fandom, and I am beyond lucky to get the opportunity to collaborate in a space which supports that!
