Funko was awarded with the Collectible of the Year for Pop! vinyl and People's Choice of the Year for Pop! vinyl at the Toy of the Year awards last night presented by the Toy Industry Association. The award show was held in New York City in front of toy industry leaders with Funko's CEO, Brian Mariotti, in attendance to accept both on behalf of Funko.

Pop! vinyl was selected for Collectible of the Year from a list of nominees including Pop! and Dorbz by Funko, Gift'ems by JAKKS Pacific, LEGO Minifigures - The Disney Edition by Lego Systems, Inc., Num Noms by MGA entertainment, Shopkins Season 6, and Tonka Tinys by Funrise. The vote was based on a weighted criteria including consumer votes, TIA members and retailer input.

People's Choice of the Year was determined exclusively by the total of votes received on the ToyAwards.org website.

Funko's CEO, Brian Mariotti, said "We are deeply honored to be recognized not only for putting our own spin on iconic moments in pop culture but also our ability to create collectibles that resonate with fans. Both awards we earned were largely due to their voices and we are incredibly humbled by their actions."
