What is your name/job title at Funko?

Davin Derrick, Product Developer

What is your first Funko collectible, and where do you display it?

My first Funko collectible was the first Kobe Bryant POP! in the Lakers yellow home uniform. He resides in the bottom center area of my entertainment center at home, in a hard-shell POP! protector.

POP! Kobe Bryant in his LA Lakers uniform in yellow. He's inside his POP! Box with a POP! protector around him.

Is there a story or memory behind your first Funko collectible?

Yes, I was new to Washington state at the time, from California. One of my former co-workers knew I was a die-hard Kobe Bryant fan and surprised me one day, gifting me this grail back in 2016. Of course, I still have it to this day!

How does this collectible inspire your work?

Super inspiring as it pushed me to pursue a career in product development, where I now get to develop and work on NBA POP! collectibles. It's crazy seeing how far we've come on the detailing compared to back then. Props to our amazing artist and creative teams!
