The Pop!-fright is on for a must-possess item for Funko horror fans. We’re highlighting a selection of Pop! Chucky and Pop! Bride of Chucky vinyl figures that have slashed their way into horror fan hearts for many reasons—and we’re fans here at Funko, too.
Why are we obsessed with the Chucky movies? “Chucky keeps evolving with the times, and the movie series never takes itself too seriously. It’s always a fun, bloody escape.” --(Linda Castro, Funko Data Analyst, and Chucky fan)
And of course, there’s always the “creepy doll” factor. Our Funko artists take their jobs scary seriously by recreating the perfect horror Pop! that’s a frighteningly fun balance between creepy and cute. For a behind-the-screams look at what goes into the art of creating a Funko horror Pop!, check out our first “Horror, Always On” blog post here.
For those of you who want to doll up your horror set, our Pop! Chucky and Pop! Bride of Chucky collectibles are ready for a play date. Here’s how a couple of our Funko artists stay true to form when it comes to the Chucky series:
Sarah Gassman, Utilities Artist
--I try to do my best to ensure our newer Pop! Chucky releases retain or improve upon the charm and detail of our past Chucky Pops! I want to make sure I stay as consistent as possible with the colors and prints—even if we are doing a crazy new deco or holiday variant—so they remain cohesive on our collectors’ shelves.
Anna-Lisa Eriksson, 3D Digital Sculptor
--As a longtime fan of the Chucky movies, sculpting Chucky in Pop! form has been both an honor and a delightfully creepy experience. It's a pleasure to sculpt his sinister charm and spark a sense of twisted joy in fellow fans!
Best Fiends Forever: Chucky and Bride of Chucky Pops!
You’ll find them side by side and along for the ride: Pop! Chucky and Pop! Tiffany from Bride of Chucky are here! Pop! Chucky holds an ax, and Pop! Tiffany holds a knife. Put them on your shelf to bring fun movie moments to life.
